10K running routes by town

Browse every 10 kilometre route we have in your town, with maps, elevation and free GPX downloads.

What makes a good 10K route?

Ten kilometres is the distance most runners build towards once 5K starts to feel easy: long enough to be a genuine endurance test, short enough to run most weekends. Every route on this page measures between 9.5 km and 10.5 km, so it is close enough to 10K for race-pace training, a time trial, or a steady long run.

Where we can, we favour 10K loops — routes that start and finish in the same place, so you can park once, run a full circuit and never retrace your steps. Each route card shows the total ascent and how much of the surface is paved, so you can pick a flat, surfaced loop for an easy long run or a hillier trail circuit when you want to work harder.

Everything is free. Open a route for its map and elevation profile, download the GPX for your watch, or follow it turn by turn in the Skamper app.

10K running routes near me — common questions

How do I find 10K running routes near me?
Allow location access and this page sorts every 10 kilometre route by how far it is from you, nearest first. You can also pick your town from the list above to see all the 10K routes in that area.
Are there running routes near me with a 10K loop?
Yes — many of the routes here are loops that begin and end in the same spot. Each card is labelled Loop, Out & back or Point to point, and the Loops only filter shows just the circuits.
Are the routes exactly 10 kilometres?
They sit between 9.5 km and 10.5 km. That band keeps every route honest as a 10K without excluding good circuits that come in a little over or under.
Is 10K a good step up from 5K?
Yes — it's the usual next distance once 5K feels comfortable. Use the Flat and Paved filters to find easier routes while you build up, or a hillier one once you want more of a challenge.
Do the 10K routes cost anything?
No. Every route, map, elevation profile and GPX download on Skamper is free.
