Explore the Fusedale Circuit
Location: Westmorland and Furness
Most of the Fusedale route is on rough fellside tracks and grassy paths, with some sections of rocky trail underfoot that demand concentration. The ascent is significant, hitting the legs early as the path snakes its way relentlessly upwards out of Howtown, easing only briefly before a final steep push to the high point of the route at the top of the valley. Expect exposure to the elements on the higher ground and conditions underfoot to be challenging after rain, making trail shoes a sensible choice.
