Explore the Polzeath - Rumps Loop
Location: St. Minver Highlands, Cornwall
This roughly 8 km route explores the Pentire Point headland on a shared out-and-back section linked by an anticlockwise loop. The run is mostly on coastal trails, with short stretches of pavement connecting the off-road sections. A steady climb in the opening kilometres gains the higher ground, where open views and exposed paths follow the headland. The route then undulates across grassy and rocky coastal terrain before beginning a longer descent later in the run. Underfoot conditions vary between well-worn paths, uneven trail and short paved sections, with the coastal sections providing the highlight of the route. It’s a compact but varied run, combining steady climbing, rugged coastline and fast, flowing trail running.
