Explore the Roseburn Cycle Path and Water of Leith loop
Location: Murrayfield, Scotland
This continuous loop offers just over 16 km of running through Edinburgh, with around 225 metres of climbing. Much of the circuit follows the Water of Leith Walkway, a popular path that traces the river through the city. You'll also spend time on the Roseburn Cycle Path and sections of National Cycle Route 1, which provide smooth, runnable surfaces.
The route takes you close to the Firth of Forth, with sections along the waterfront near Ocean Terminal and the Port of Leith, before heading back inland. Expect a mix of dedicated paths and urban greenways, making for a varied run.
