Explore the Inverleith, Goldenacre, Newhaven and Roseburn Loop
Location: Murrayfield, Scotland
This roughly 12.5 km circuit explores the northern fringes of Edinburgh, offering a mix of quiet paths and coastal running. The loop largely follows the city's tree-lined cycle paths, starting with the Roseburn Path before heading into Inverleith Park. You'll then pick up the Water of Leith Walkway for a stretch, continuing onto the Goldenacre path and Trinity path.
The route then opens out to the coast, taking you through Newhaven, past Wardie Bay, and alongside Granton Harbour, with views across the Firth of Forth. Climbing is concentrated in one part of the loop, with around 225m of ascent, while descents are more spread out across the circuit. The ground is predominantly paved throughout, making for a smooth and runnable experience.
