Jul 2026Whittington and BigginsThis is a very nice loop on quiet lanes and along the river Lune.The tracks it uses from Whittington to the river are the best of the 3 available and not prone to constant flooding like the other two.It also avoids overgrown vegetation with only around 100m of path that is constricted in mid summer. The route is generally cow free apart from a small herd of (generally very passive) milking cows in the last field before the A65 bridge
Jun 2026Ennerdale HorseshoeOne of the toughest and most remote of all the classic Lake District Fell races with some dangerous technical sections. Make sure you are well equipped , have plenty of food and water, give yourself adequate time and ideally run with a partner or tracker and let people know where you are going
