This 10 km point-to-point links Kendal to Staveley entirely on pavement and quiet roads. Leaving Kendal, the way drops gently over the opening kilometre or so before levelling out on peaceful back lanes, tracing the rural valley through Burneside with the River Kent never far away.

Underfoot it stays on smooth tarmac throughout, trading town paths for country lanes flanked by hedgerows and rolling pastures.
