Explore the Swindon to Salisbury
Location: South Swindon, Swindon
This long 73km point-to-point route follows the Sarsen Way and Great Stones Way for much of the way, linking South Swindon with Salisbury on a continuous off-road trail. The route is almost entirely on well-defined tracks and paths, with very little overall elevation change, allowing for a consistent effort over the full distance. Passing through open countryside, farmland and sections of downland, it provides a peaceful, traffic-free running experience with long, uninterrupted stretches between settlements. The straightforward navigation and runnable terrain make it an excellent choice for ultrarunners, endurance training or anyone looking to tackle one of southern England’s long-distance trails.
