Explore the Ridgeway Fox Hills
Location: Bishopstone, Swindon
This 25 km out-and-back route follows one of the finest stretches of the Ridgeway, heading from the car park at Fox Hill to the water tap at Seven Acre Hill before retracing the same route. Running almost entirely along the broad chalk track of the ancient National Trail, it offers uninterrupted views across the surrounding countryside and a gently undulating profile rather than any prolonged climbs. The open ridge makes for fast, straightforward running in dry conditions, while the exposed nature of the route means it can feel challenging in strong winds. The water tap at Seven Acre Hill provides a convenient turnaround and refill point before the return journey along the same scenic ridge.
