Explore the Malham Tarn and Lang Scar

This circular route in the Yorkshire Dales offers just over 7 km of running around Malham Tarn. The ground underfoot is a roughly even mix of paved and off-road surfaces, with around 80m of climbing spread throughout the loop.
You'll find yourself on quiet lanes for stretches, particularly along Cove Road, before transitioning to grassy paths and tracks that skirt the edge of Malham Tarn. The circuit is gently undulating, with no significant climbs or descents to break the rhythm. It's a relaxed run through open countryside, with the tarn always a prominent feature.
