Explore the Canvey Island

Location: Canvey Island, England

Lace up for a unique coastal exploration around Canvey Island, a 21.9km clockwise loop following the King Charles III England Coast Path. This largely flat run (just 20m ascent) offers a fascinating mix of urban seafront paths, more rugged grassy trails, and bare earth tracks. Be prepared for varied underfoot conditions, as some sections can become muddy and heavy going, especially after rain.

This route provides captivating views of the Thames Estuary and the island's distinctive landscape, perfect for those seeking a longer, more adventurous run with a maritime feel. While predominantly paved, the varied surfaces make it an excellent choice for endurance training or a scenic long run, offering a different challenge to purely urban routes. Remember to check local flood warnings before heading out.

Thank you Skamper for this lovely run. Small diversion in place in the section coming up to CP F. The path is very overgrown between CP 2 and 5 which made progress slow.
