Explore the Skamper INOV8 Wainwrights Round

Location: South Lakeland, England

Embark on a challenging and rewarding fell run in South Lakeland, navigating the Skamper INOV8 Round, a demanding route encompassing eight Wainwright peaks. This scenic adventure begins gently from Staveley Mill Yard, offering valley views before the serious climbing begins. Expect rocky paths, steep inclines, and rugged terrain as you ascend peaks like Shipman Knotts, Kentmere Pike, and Mardale Ill Bell, all while being treated to expansive fell vistas.

This 40km route with over 1500m of ascent is ideal for experienced fell runners seeking a significant challenge or preparing for mountain ultras. After conquering the peaks, including the out-and-back to Selside Pike, the run concludes with a more forgiving descent through Longsleddale Valley, providing a welcome contrast to the tougher preceding sections. Amazing route, takes you to some lesser visited fells but all worth it

The Lake District always gives me a beating 😂 brutal course, made worse by wet weather conditions. 80% of the course was boggy, so be prepared. I had a pair of Hoka trail shoes on and felt like I ice skated most of the course 😆 . Beautiful peaks. Friendly people in the inov8 store. Amazing.
