Liverpool Docks Loop — 4.5 km Running Route

This loop takes in the heart of Liverpool's historic docks, weaving between water on both sides for much of the way. Canning Dock and Canning Half Tide Dock sit at the southern end, with the openness of the Mersey estuary visible beyond the dock walls. Heading along Prince's Dock, the route runs tight between the water and the old dock buildings, with the river itself never far away on the opposite side. Further north the route loops around East Waterloo Dock, the docks giving way briefly to a view across to the Wirral before the run tracks back down the same stretch of waterfront. Throughout, there's a real sense of running through Liverpool's maritime past, with cobbles, warehouses, and dock cranes lining much of the way.
