Explore the Lochleaze - Stoke Park Loop 2
Location: Bristol, England
This is a straightforward 6 km loop that combines street running with a section through Stoke Park. About 75% of the route is paved, so your road shoes will be fine for the entire circuit. With only 23 metres of total ascent, it’s effectively flat, making it a good option if you want to maintain a consistent pace or do some tempo work. You can join the loop at any point that’s convenient for you.
The run is clearly divided between urban pavements and park paths. The street portions are standard city running with predictable surfaces, but you'll need to be aware of traffic at road crossings. Once you enter Stoke Park, the footing changes to an unpaved main path. This surface is more natural and can be uneven in places, so you’ll just need to watch your step a little more. It's not technical in any way, but it could get muddy after rain.
This works well as an accessible local training run that gives you a break from the hard pavements without having to leave Bristol. The mix of environments provides some variety, and the limited elevation means you won’t be grinding up any significant hills. It’s a simple loop that is easy to follow, offering a reliable circuit for a quick run.
