This flat and fast 5km loop is a runner’s favorite in the Epsom and Ewell area, offering a perfect blend of manicured parkland and sheltered wooded paths. Starting from Ewell East, the route follows predominantly paved surfaces with a negligible 11m ascent, making it an ideal choice for a tempo run or a PB attempt. You’ll head out toward London Road before looping back through the heart of the park, passing the historic Mansion House and enjoying the wide-open green spaces that make this one of Surrey’s most accessible and scenic running spots.
Nonsuch Park holds a prestigious place in English history as the former site of Henry VIII’s most ambitious palace, "Nonsuch," so named because there was "none such" like it in the world. While the Tudor palace is long gone, the 18th-century Nonsuch Mansion remains a striking landmark for local runners. The park acts as a vital "green lung" between Cheam and Ewell, providing a peaceful escape from the London suburbs. Local runners often recommend the onsite pantry for a post-run coffee, especially on weekend mornings when the park comes alive with the local running community.
