Washburn Valley and Timble Ings

Description

This run explores the Washburn Valley on a rewarding loop around Swinsty, Fewston, and Thruscross Reservoirs, with an additional climb through Timble Ings for some contrast and elevation. The terrain is mostly well-maintained trails and forest tracks, with some rougher ground near Thruscross and sections of open countryside. Expect a mix of woodland, water views, and quiet stretches through sheltered valleys. The climb up through Timble Ings adds a shift in pace, with narrower, more uneven ground and steeper gradient. A scenic and varied run with plenty of natural interest throughout.
