Starting and ending at Hunts Lock, runners will trace the winding banks of the Weaver Navigation toward Vale Royal Locks. With only 12m of total ascent, it is an ideal course for maintaining a steady tempo or enjoying an easy recovery run on a mix of paved paths and well-trodden riverbank trails. The route provides a unique "figure-eight" experience as you cross the water, allowing for changing perspectives of the river’s sweeping bends and the lush, green corridors that shoulder the navigation.

Northwich is steeped in industrial heritage, specifically its world-famous salt trade, and this route passes right through its historical arteries. Running alongside the Weaver Navigation feels like moving through a working museum; these waterways were once bustling with narrowboats transporting salt from the local mines to the Mersey. Today, however, the area has been reclaimed by nature, offering a peaceful habitat for herons and kingfishers.
